DR. MICHAEL SACHS

Michael Sachs has enjoyed being in private practice for the last 31 years and is delighted to be one of the founding partners of Premier Pediatrics Beverly Hills. He was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, graduating with honors. He returned to Los Angeles for his residency in Pediatrics at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center and opened his first pediatric private practice in Beverly Hills in 1989. As a member of the voluntary attending staff at Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Sachs has enjoyed teaching pediatric residents and has won the "Golden Apple" outstanding outpatient teacher award three times. Reflecting his commitment to passenger safety for children, he has been on the advisory board of Safety Belt Safe U.S.A. for several years. He has co-authored two articles in the journal Pediatric Basics, "Car Seat Safety - Buckling Up Isn't Always Enough" and "Gastroesophageal Reflux - Just Spitting Up, or Something More Serious". Dr. Sachs lives in West Los Angeles with his wife, Melinda, and their son, Daniel. Their older daughter Rebecca graduated from Columbia University in New York then received Masters Degrees from Hebrew Union College and the University of Southern California, and relocated to Washington D.C. with her husband while he pursues his graduate studies. Their younger daughter Sydney attended the University of Denver and chose to stay following graduation. When not in the office or spending time with his family, he enjoys all aspects of electronics and computers
