Dr. Corey W. Hunter, MD

Top3Doctors.com selected Dr. Corey Hunter as a top pain management doctor in New York because of his research record, his teaching role, and his focus on advanced, less invasive treatments. He is an interventional pain physician and an assistant clinical professor at Albert Einstein School of Medicine. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and in leading pain textbooks. In 2025, he received a Castle Connolly Top Doctor award, which comes from peer nominations. That mix of research and practice keeps his care current.

What we like most about Dr. Hunter is his goal of helping patients avoid major surgery. He founded the Ainsworth Institute of Pain Management, with offices on Waters Place in the Bronx and on East 57th Street in Manhattan. His practice offers DRG stimulation and other nerve treatments, and some patients may qualify for clinical trials. Those options can help people whose pain has not improved with standard care. For these reasons, Top3Doctors.com proudly names Dr. Corey Hunter among the top three pain management doctors in New York.
