Why did we choose Dr. Megan M. Wood, MD as one of our Top Doctors?

Top3Doctors.com selected Dr. Megan M. Wood as a top hand surgeon in Dallas because of her two fellowships, her board certification in hand surgery, and her work with children’s hand conditions. She earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed her orthopaedic surgery residency at UT Southwestern. Dr. Wood then trained in hand and microvascular surgery at The Hand Center of San Antonio. She added a second fellowship in pediatric hand and upper extremity surgery at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital, and she holds a subspecialty certificate in surgery of the hand from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. That training covers both adults and children.

What we like most about Dr. Wood is her range within one field. At Texas Hand and Arm Center, she treats hand, wrist, elbow, and upper extremity problems in adults and children, including congenital hand differences. Certified hand therapy is on site, so patients can rehab without changing offices. She also teaches as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern and has published book chapters. For these reasons, Top3Doctors.com proudly names Dr. Megan M. Wood among the top three hand surgeons in Dallas.
