Why did we choose Dr. Michael Gelb, DDS, MS as one of our Top Doctors?

Top3Doctors.com selected Dr. Michael Gelb as a top dental sleep medicine dentist in New York City because of his long record in airway care, his academic standing, and the oral appliances he helped design. He earned his dental degree from Columbia University and a master’s degree in oral science from SUNY Buffalo. Dr. Gelb has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial Pain since 1995 and has taught at NYU College of Dentistry since 1989. He co-invented the NORAD oral airway dilator and wrote the book Gasp! Airway Health. That depth of training is hard to find among dentists treating sleep apnea.

What sets Dr. Gelb apart is how his practice, The Gelb Center on Madison Avenue, handles sleep apnea from start to finish. The office uses home sleep testing to screen patients, fits custom oral appliances such as the NORAD, Full Breath Solution, and Respire devices, and runs follow-up home studies to confirm each appliance is working. Dr. Gelb also uses CBCT imaging and pharyngometry to find where the airway is blocked. For these reasons, Top3Doctors.com proudly names Dr. Michael Gelb among the top three dental sleep medicine dentists in New York City.
